First Italian sand volleyball tournament with Enrico Maria Governatori, who I met via Facebook the night before. Fantastic day – fast sand, hard ball, indoor courts, no wind, and no sun – all things to get used to. Experience much more important than the results, but if you have to ask we were 1 and 3 (coulda, shoulda been 3 and 1 or 2 and 2). Congratulations to my friend Michele Mastronardi who played great (and is probably still playing)l
